A spiritual ceremony ‘Upanayana Sanskar’ was performed in the serene campus of The Gurukul Nilokheri. Upanayana literally means ‘coming closer’. It is performed to mark the commencement of formal education under the spiritual master. It signifies the acquisition of the knowledge, skills and experience of the spiritual master. It symbolises the beginning of a new and disciplined life as a Brahmachari.

‘Yajya’ was performed by all the Brahmacharis and Gurus with the chanting of Vedic mantras. In the ceremony, the students wore a sacred thread called ‘Yajnopaveetam’. The whole premises was reverberated with chanting of Vedic mantras.

Dr. Rajender Vidyalankar Ji blessed the young buds with his golden words and exhorted to keep ethics and values of Ancient Gurukul alive. The Principal motivated ebullient students to emulate the qualities of a true learner and adhere the righteous path to make the society a salubrious place to live in. Director of The Gurukul Nilokheri Sh. Jagdish Chander Arya Ji, Sh. Mahinder Arya Ji and Sh. Shiv Kumar Arya Ji blessed the students by pouring the rain of vibrant flowers.
